Masonic Leadership Training

The Grand Lodge of Florida developed this comprehensive course of study to instruct Brothers on the proper procedures and responsibilites of each Lodge Officers, and how to conduct the important business of their particular Lodge. Courses are presented by the District Chairman, and a certificate is issued upon successful completion of all 15 modules.

Schools of Instruction

The Grand Lodge of Florida supports both District and Zone Schools of Instruction. Each school is presided over by the District Instructor, appointed by the Grand Master. District Schools concentrate on instruction concerning the symbolic Degrees and general business of the Lodge. Zone Schools place more emphasis on the esoteric work of Freemasonry.

Master Mason Exams

The Grand Lodge of Florida provides Master Mason Examinations to be open book type exams, designed to give any Master Mason the opportunity to increase his knowledge of some of the Ancient Tenets, Rules and Regulations of Masonry. They contain a mixture of multiple choice, True or False, or essay questions which should be answered on the answer sheet, as provided in the exam downloads.

Lodge Officer Training

The Grand Lodge of Florida encourages all members of the Craft to further their knowledge of Lodge operation, especially those concerning the Elected and Appointed Officers of each particular Lodge. The Lodge Officers Training program was designed to educate and test your knowledge of Lodge procedures, business, penal code, and other areas.

Florida Lodge of Research

The Florida Lodge of Research was established in December 1973 as a fully chartered subordinate lodge of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Florida. The Florida Lodge of Research is formed for the purpose of promoting, encouraging, conducting and fostering Masonic research and study for the purpose of spreading Masonic Light and knowledge.

Secretary and Treasurer Seminars

The Grand Secretary hosts a seminar for Lodge Secretaries and Treasurers to learn more about the duties and responsibilities that coincide with these Elected Lodge Offices. Learn about new Grand Lodge software, financial and reporting requirements, general operation of the Lodge, and specific duties to be performed by each Officer. All Master Masons welcome, RSVP is a must.

Mentor’s Manual

In the old operative Lodges of Scotland, the officer entrusted with the task of instructing the new apprentices bore the title of Intender. It was his duty to intend, increase and intensify the knowledge of the new Craftsman. The Mentor, in our present system, will seek to expand and intensify the Masonic instruction imparted by the ritual, adding to it many other points which will enlarge the new Brother’s understanding of Freemasonry.
